Private school teachers attacked by Knut officials
26 June 2013, 14:18
Marakwet - The Standard reports Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) officials in North Rift flushed out private school teachers for failing to participate in the ongoing teachers' strike.
The officials and teachers from public schools stormed the institutions and
ordered the management to close down and take part in the strike.
According to Elgeyo/Marakwet Knut Executive Secretary John Cheberi, the union
has compelled teachers in private schools to support the protests
because they are the ultimate beneficiaries of the strike.
