Nairobi - The wealth of President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and former radio presenter Joshua Arap Sang will not be disclosed to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
ICC prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, failed to obtain a court order requesting information on the property of the three who are facing criminal charges at the ICC, Daily Nation reports.
Attorney General, Githu Muigai said Bensouda’s requests were unjustified, saying that the Rome Statute, which established the ICC, doesn’t need Kenya to give the information.
ICC prosecution on Thursday said they did not have enough evidence to proceed with their case against President Kenyatta, and asked judges to postpone it indefinitely.
In a statement, Bensouda said she could not proceed with the case after one witness asked to withdraw and another admitted to lying.
