Washington - President Uhuru Kenyatta will be attending the White House Summit on August 6 where he will be addressing key matters in Washington, Nation report.
However he will not be holding talks with President Barack Obama at the summit next month. He will also not be presiding with any of the 50 African leaders that will be attending the summit.
The Assistant Secretary of State of African Affairs, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, says President Obama is only choosing to have a few one-on-one's with some of the African leaders.
The summit will be divided into three sessions and a White House Summit dinner will be hosted for the leaders and their spouses.
President Kenyatta will be able to hold talks, focusing on cooperation in security matters with the US, increasing trade and tourism and attracting more American investments in Kenya.
Although the two countries have a secure partnership, the US has been implementing the fight against terrorism in Kenya.
