President Kenyatta accused of killing Mungiki leaders

Nairobi - Witnesses in President Uhuru Kenyatta's case at the International Criminal Court (ICC) have allegedly linked him to the killing of some senior leaders of Mungiki to cover up his involvement with the outlawed sect in the 2007/8 post election violence.
The prosecution at the ICC, led by chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda says some witnesses linked President Kenyatta to the killings of the some leaders of the group in 2008/9 in order to silence it, Daily Nation reports.
President Kenyatta denied links with Mungiki during the pre-trial hearings in 2011.
According to the prosecution the allegations would be a powerful indicator of President Kenyatta’s guilt if proved to be true.
