Poll: Uhuru gaining on Raila
11 January 2012, 18:48
Nairobi - Capital News reports that a new poll by Insight Strategists Solution Africa (ISS Africa) shows that Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta is gaining in popularity to Prime Minister Raila Odinga, and is now only four percent behind him in points.
Speaking during the media briefing Idy Pembere, ISS Africa Director for Research and Analysis said that Odinga’s popularity since their last poll in October had declined due to the Miguna Miguna and ODM elections saga.
Pembere went on to add another contributing factor being the allegations of misappropriation of funds meant for Kazi kwa Vijana (KKV) project which led to the youth particularly many who felt that someone in his office was stealing from something that should have benefited them.
