Nairobi - A live cat was found in a bag that was suspected to contain explosives, causing a bomb scare at the gate of an office block along Riverside Drive in Nairobi.
Confirming the incident, Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said they received reports that a bag had been dropped there by motorists who drove off before their details could be taken, The Standard reports.
He said investigations had been launched into the incident and urged members of the public to continue being vigilant as the war on terror intensifies.
Yesterday, another suspicious bag was found abandoned outside an ATM booth along Moi Avenue.
Bomb experts were called and blew it up but no bomb was found. The bag contained a bible, a German dictionary, a pen and a key.
