Police accused of rape and torture

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports a report released by Human Rights Watch reveals that about 1,000 refugees were tortured, raped and arbitrarily detained by the police.
According to the report, the police justified their actions saying they were fighting terrorism.
The victims were refugees and asylum seekers from Somali and Ethiopia and Somali Kenyans in
Nairobi's Eastleigh suburb.
