Nairobi - The Star reports a petition challenging the ruling by High Court judge Joseph Mutava that cleared Kamlesh Pattni of all charges in the Goldenberg case is set for hearing.
The petition was filed by the International Center for Policy and Conflict (ICPC) which termed the hearing as a “litmus test” for judicial reforms and urged Kenyans to turn up to follow the proceedings.
Ndungu Wainaina, ICPC’s executive director said Kamlesh Pattni’s case is a classic embodiment of modern day miscarriage of justice of unparalleled proportions. The case and its final determination will definitely have dire implication and impact on the Judiciary and office of Director of Public Prosecutions and the rule of law in Kenya.
