Parliament summons Fly 540 over disability discrimination

Nairobi - The Parliamentary Committee on Equal Opportunities has summoned Fly 540’s management over the discrimination claims against Gospel singer Emmy Kosgei’s father, Joseph Kosgei.
This comes after it was reported that Kosgei was forced to crawl out of a Fly 540 plane due to negligence by crew.
However, The Standard reports that Kosgei’s case was not unique. Back in 2011, Senator Godliver Omondi almost cancelled her flight after the airline told her that they were not ready to accommodate her.
MPs are now calling for stern action against the airline, even as the Kenya Disability Parliamentary Association (KEDIPA) demands an apology for the discrimination claims.
