Parliament: JSC commissioners should be probed
01 November 2013, 14:23
Nairobi - Parliament’s Justice and Legal Affairs Committee wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to form a team to probe six commissioners of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) accused of misconduct.
The commissioners are said to have breached the law by handling JSC’s Finance and Administration Committee affairs, instead of leaving it to be handled by the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, The Standard reports.
They commissioners are Ahmednasir Abdullahi, Samuel Kobia, Christine Mango, Mohammed Warsame, Emily Ominde, and Florence Mwangangi.
Sacked registrar Gladys Shollei had accused three commissioners of plotting to have her sacked by levelling fraud charges against her.
She has filed a petition in court challenging her dismissal even after JSC advertised the post.
