PNU retains Kitutu Masaba seat

Nairobi – Capital News reports that the immediate former area MP Walter Nyambati reclaimed the Kitutu Masaba parliamentary seat after a hotly contested mini-poll, that included popular musician Alex Apoko alias Ringtone of VIPA party who finished a distant eighth.
The Party of National Unity (PNU) took an early lead immediately vote tallying started at 5pm on Monday and kept the pace trouncing ODM’s candidate Timothy Bosire by over 3,000 votes.
The seat fell vacant after the High Court in Kisii nullified Nyambati’s victory citing electoral flaws on the part of the defunct ECK.
