PM: CCTV’s to be installed in Nairobi

Nairobi - In a bid to enhance security, Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Wednesday said the government will soon start installing Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in cities countrywide.
In his statement to parliament, Raila said that Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nyeri and Meru will be the initial centres to get the CCTV equipment, Capital News reports.
Raila went on to added that the government has received grant of KES 8.5 billion from the Chinese government and that four companies to supply and install the gadgets had been identified.
