'Obama must visit fathers grave' or break the law

Nairobi - A senior Luo elder has said that it is culturally essential for Barack Obama to visit his father’s grave at K’Ogello during his visit to Kenya.

The former Jaramogi Oginga Odinga's aide, Odungi Randa has said that visiting and praying at the late Obama Senior’s grave will be not only be a show of respect for the deceased, but also an important cultural rite  since President Obama did not attend his father’s funeral.

This came even as Mama Sarah promised to persuade Obama to visit the people of Siaya, The Standard reports.

Mama Sarah, who has already been flown to Nairobi to meet with his step-grandson the US President, said she has already built Obama Junior a Simba where he can spent the night.

She also revealed that she and President Obama will be spending the night under the same roof in Nairobi, where she also intends to give him a Luo stool she brought him
