Nyachae, Githu summoned over public spat

05 January 2012, 10:15

Nairobi - Attorney General Githu Muigai and the Chairman of the Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC) chairman Charles Nyachae have been summoned, by Constitution Implementation Oversight Committee (CIOC) Chairman Abdikadir Mohammed, following their recent public spat over the constitutional implementation process.

During his media briefing with Capital News, Mohammed said that the two were scheduled to appear before his team on January 10 as the blame-game between the two institutions was unwarranted and that it was derailing key legislation required by next month.

Also set to appear before the CIOC are Deputy Prime Ministers Uhuru Kenyatta and Musalia Mudavadi together with Lands Minister James Orengo, so that they can make known the true position of the bulky lands Bill as well as those touching on devolution.
