No parking fees for motorists after strike

Nairobi - Nairobi county workers have been on strike since Tuesday as they protested following the lack of implementation of a pay hike of up to 60 percent that was signed last year.
Speaking to Capital News on Wednesday, Nairobi City County Head of Parking Tom Tinega said that the motorists have a reprieve as their cars will not be clamped as some of the owners may not have been charged parking fees, as the attendants are not able to perform their duties fully due to intimidation from the striking council workers.
Tinega however remained optimistic that the situation would be resolved soon, as the Nairobi County Governor Evans Kidero is willing to negotiate with the workers to end the strike.
