New nurses to be hired

25 December 2012, 09:27

Nairobi - Recruitment of nurses to replace the striking ones is ongoing, and their deployment will begin immediately after Christmas.

In an interview with Daily Nation, the Chief Nursing Officer Chris Rakuom said that they are receiving returns from hospitals of those who have not reported, and they will replace them immediately.

He went on to add that although the amnesty that the government gave the striking nurses to resume duty elapsed a week ago, they could still go back to their work stations before they are replaced.
