Names of Lamu attackers revealed

Mombasa - Police have revealed that a Kenyan by the name Idris Kamau was the mastermind of the attacks in Lamu that have so far claimed 87 lives.

According to intelligence reports, Kamau is a commander of the Al Shabaab terror group and is hiding in Boni Forest together with his group of fighters, where they are believed to have set up an operations camp, The Standard reports.

The report further reveals that Abu Jamal, a former soldier with the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) is the leader of a cell of the fighters of the terror group in Mombasa.

The fighters are said to be planning to carry out more raids in Lamu and Kilifi counties on unspecified dates.
