Nairobi - The National Youth Service (NYS) personnel have been deployed to Langata Primary School to demolish a perimeter wall erected on the school’s playground by a private developer.
Yesterday, Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaissery gave the developer 24 hours to pull down the wall and level the playground for the school, The Standard reported
However, the developer had not done so BY Wednesday morning forcing the government to deploy the NYS personnel who will also help in fencing the whole school compound.

Both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nkaissery apologized for the teargassing of protesting school children over the grabbed playground but did not mention the land grabber.
The incident Monday caused uproar in the country and put Kenya to shame all over the world, over the manner in which the children were treated by police.
The Lands Ministry has since declared that the said piece of land belongs to the Langata Road Primary School.
