NPSC sacks top police officers

Nairobi - A number of senior police officers have been sent home following the proposed reforms in the police force.
According to National Police Service Commission (NPSC) chairman Johnson Kavuludi, the commission had proved the complaints raised against the officers by the public hence the decision to sack them, Daily Nation reports.
Among those sacked is a senior officer from the General Service Unit (GSU), who was in charge of the officers that were deployed in Kibera slum to contain the violence that erupted after the 2007 elections.
