Nairobi - Capital News reports that the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) on Thursday launched a programme to monitor hate speech during political periods in Kenya.
Speaking during a two-day elections training program for the Kenya Police, NCIC Chairman Mzalendo Kibunjia gave out audio recorders for use by the police to monitor hate speech across the country.
Kibunja noted that the recording will then be transcribed and analyzed for hate speech elements, ensuring that they have secured evidence that can be used in court.
