Nairobi - Deposed NACADA chair John Mututho has insisted that he is the right man to lead the fight against drug and substance abuse in the country, reports Capital News.
Mututho, whose appointment as NACADA boss was revoked last week, told the National Assembly Committee on National Security
and Administration that he will particularly prioritize the war on drug
and substance abuse among the youth.
He further told the committee that if confirmed, he will ensure the sale of illicit brews is contained during the upcoming festive season.
The former Naivasha MP's appointment was revoked by President
Uhuru Kenyatta in a Kenya Gazette notice of October 24 after some MP's
termed it illegal citing lack of parliamentary approval.
