Mosques risk closure over youth radicalization

Nairobi - The Director of the Criminal Investigations Department Ndegwa Muhoro has warned that the government will soon close all mosques that are used to radicalize the youth.
He said intelligence reports indicated that some mosques were being used to recruit the youth to the Al Shabaab terror group in the name of religion, The Standard reports.

The government has already closed a mosque in Machakos and arrested several youths who were being recruited to join Al-Shabaab.
