Mombasa security firms under scrutiny

Mombasa - Mombasa Police chief, Adolf Adoli, has said that he will ensure security firms hire properly trained staff to quell any terror incidents.
“We are going to investigate private firms that offer security services. We do not want a situation where someone picks people from the village and dresses them in a uniform with no skills of tackling tricky situations," said Adoli.
The development comes amid security fears following a terror attack at the Westgate mall in Nairobi.
He urged hotel owners to tighten security amid fears of more attacks by the Al Shabaab militants.
The hotel owners and stakeholders in the sector agreed with the resolution to capture visitors on camera as a security measure.
They argued that taking photographs might enhance the process of identification in case of security breaches.
