Military evacuates 200 Kenyans from S. Sudan

Nairobi - The military evacuated more than 200 Kenyans who were left stranded when fighting broke out in South Sudan.
They could not hide their joy immediately the military plane they were traveled in touched the ground at Wilson Airport on Monday.
According to officials from the Kenya Defence Forces and Kenya Airways, 2,300 Kenyans have been evacuated as the rescue operation continues, Daily Nation reports.
Last week, the government said it might spend KES 260 on the evacuation of Kenyans from the troubled nation.
It however admitted that it does not know the exact number of Kenyans living in South Sudan.
Kenya Airways partnered with the government to operate two chartered flights to carry out the rescue operation.
