Mau Mau: It is little, but we will take
07 June 2013, 11:39
Nairobi - The Standard reports Mau Mau war veterans have said that they will take the KES 2.6 billion offered by the British Government as a compensation package for torture, although is is too little.
According to Mau Mau War Veteran Association Secretary General Gitu wa Kahengeri, although the money was not enough, they accepted it because Britain also apologised.
Some said if they refuse the money saying that it is not enough, they will be taken in circles and by the time they appeal they will be dead.
