Man arrested with grenades

Nairobi  – A man believed to be a prime suspect in a series of terrorist attacks in Kenya was arrested on Tuesday after grenades and assorted firearms were discovered at his flat.

Speaking to Capital News, Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere said that the Kenyan man was arrested following credible intelligence reports, during a swoop carried out in the densely populated estate of Kayole.

This comes in the wake of two grenade attacks that rocked the capital, although police did not immediately link the suspect to the blasts that left one person killed and some 30 others injured.
