14 June 2013, 07:33
Nairobi - The Standard reports MPs have lauded the Budget but warned against the re-introduction of the VAT Bill that was opposed by the last Parliament.
According to some MPs, plans to re-introduce the VAT Bill should be done in a manner that will not affect essential commodities.
They said that although the budget is feasible, the Cabinet Secretary failed to state how he
intends to widen the tax bracket to finance it.
