Nairobi - Members of Parliament want a detailed report of the evictions that were carried out to pave way for the construction of the southern bypass.
Capital News reports that the parliamentary committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing directed the government to submit a detailed report in the next three weeks and to let the aggrieved home owners know whether or not they will be compensated for their losses.
Committee Chairman Maina Kamanda said the government is required by the law to compensate those with legal documentation of their ownership as they incurred huge losses.
