Mbooni - Mbooni East MP, Kisoi Munyao, has donated KES 5 million to improve education and health standards in his constituency.
“I will ensure improvement in health and education in this area,” said Kisoi while addressing the constituency development leaders.
Kisoi further called upon the leaders to be transparent and ensure that the funds donated benefited the community.
He urged parents to exercise responsible parentage to ensure that their children did not fall into the temptation of drug abuse especially during the December festivities.
The MP promised to hold talks with county governor, Kivutha Kibwana, and the Senator, Mutula Kilonzo Jr, to find a solution the problems of logging that has placed the Mbooni forest under threat.
He exuded confidence that with good coordination, the community would benefit immensely from the forest.
There has been an outcry by many public primary and secondary schools in the country over the delayed funding by the government. The schools heads noted that the delayed release of school funds compromised learning activities.
