Nairobi - The government’s claims that the International Criminal Court (ICC) is funding terrorism in the Kenya are disgraceful, a lobby group has said.
According to Ndung’u Wainaina, the director of International Center for Policy and Conflict (ICPC), the government is trying to attract international sympathy by making unsupported claims, a move that would end up destroying the country’s reputation and image internationally.
Wainaina also accused the government of not being committed to stop impunity in Kenya, The Standard reported.
The government claimed on Friday that the ICC was in many ways a part of terrorism, stating that they worked with members of the Mungiki sect, exposing Kenya to insecurity.
