30 September 2013, 11:45

Nairobi - Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Ole Lenku, has refuted claims that some attackers at the Westgate shopping mall escaped through an underground tunnel.

According to Lenku, security forces had secured all the exit routes at the mall and no one would have escaped, The Star reports.

He said forensic experts had recovered crucial information that will positively identify those behind the attack, adding that 156 witnesses have recorded statements with the police.

The Interior Cabinet Secretary, however admitted to Citizen News in a Live Broadcast that some of the attackers may have escaped.
