Laptops tender submission date pushed forward
15 November 2013, 16:51
Nairobi - The date for the submission of tenders for the Primary School laptops project has been extended to Thursday by the government, reports Capital News.
The project has had several hiccups with queries being raised as to it's high cost, validity and suitability in the current economic climate but Education Principal Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi, while insisting it was an important project, said the move to push the date further was to allow the bidders get more time to prepare for submissions.
In the report, Kaimenyi was quoted as saying that he hopes the government will be able to get low price from the bidders. He also confirmed that so far, 58 companies had collected the tender application documents.
