LSK want Ngilu sacked

15 November 2013, 20:24

Nairobi - Housing and Urban Development Cabinet Secretary, Charity Ngilu has come under fire from the Law society of Kenya (LSK), they are accusing her of contravening the constitution, the Star reports.

The Law Society of Kenya has echoed the sentiment of various MP's to have Ngilu sacked after she created offices and made arbitrary appointments, promotions, transfers of staff in the ministry. Ngilu's says she made those decisions based on the need for service delivery.

But the LSK's calls for her sacking will add to the pressure on President Uhuru Kenyatta, who has defended his Housing and Urban Development Cabinet Secretary. LSK chairman Erick Mutua said Ngilu did not adhere to the law when she made the various appointments.
