LSK told to stay away from Mau Mau compensation
01 July 2013, 10:09
Nairobi - The Standard reports the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has been asked to stop engaging in matters concerning compensation of Mau Mau war veterans by the British Government.
According to the Mau Mau War Veterans Association (MMWVA), LSK has been opposing the agreement that was reached at outside the court between Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) and Leigh Day regarding the compensation.
Their Secretary General Gitu Kahengeri alleged that LSK Chairman Eric
Mutua and CEO Apollo Mboya have called them fraudsters and they could be sued for libel.
