LSK chair summoned by Supreme Court
28 March 2013, 10:19
Nairobi - The Standard reports the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Eric Mutua has been summoned by the Supreme Court for disregarding an order against commenting on presidential petitions before the court delivers its verdict.
According to the court’s president Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, Mutua’s remarks published in a local daily were reckless and violation of the order issued last Monday.
The CJ said that LSK is held in high esteem and had even applied for amicus curiae (friend of court) and should be the last person to undermine the court.
