Knut: Teachers' strike still on

01 July 2013, 16:04

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) has dismissed a court order requiring striking teachers to report back to schools on Tuesday.

The Industrial court on Monday ordered the teachers who have been striking for the second week to go back to classes but Knut says that the strike is legal and the court's verdict is worthless.

According to Knut national chairman Wilson Sossion, the on-going strike can only be called off by the Knut Secretary General.
