Knec ready for KCSE

18 October 2011, 15:37

Nairobi - The Kenya National Examinations Council(Knec) has put in place measures to ensure exam centres located in remote areas receive the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) examination papers on time.

This year’s KCSE exams started on Tuesday all over the country, a few days earlier as compared to previous years, the Daily Nation reports.

Moses Ngala, Knec deputy secretary-general said that the early commencement of the exams was to curb delays experienced in the past which were caused by heavy rains making institutions inaccessible forcing them to seek alternative means at the last minute.

Ngala said that they have noted the concerns from the DEOs as well as their proposals to counter the challenges and have proper measures to make this year’s exams run smoothly in the remote regions.
