Kimaiyo disbands Anti-Narcotics Unit at the Coast

Mombasa - The Inspector General of Police, David Kimaiyo has disbanded the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) at the Coast.
ANU offices were shut down and officers transferred by the IG, a move that has surprised many people in the region that has been affected by drug trafficking and consumption, especially by the youth, The Standard reported.
According to the affected officers, the IG did not give them an explanation as to why he had shut down the offices and transferred them to other areas.

The officers, who are yet to be replaced, are suspecting foul play in the IG's move.
