Nairobi - Nine suspects behind the recent kidnapping of twins at Parklands have been released on KES 2 million cash bail.
The nine were arrested in Rongai during an ambush by Flying Squad Tuesday, and were arraigned in court on Wednesday where they denied the charges. A former AP officer was among the suspects who had been demanding a ransom of KES 86 million from the twin’s family.
Police plan to profile the suspects to establish if they have been involved in other criminal activities, Capital News reports, as they step up measures to crack down on kidnap gangs that have increased rapidly in Nairobi recently.
