Kenyans lauded by US for holding peaceful poll

Nairobi - The Standard reports Kenyans have been commented by the US for participating peacefully in the March 4 national elections.
According to a statement on US Department of State site by Patrick Ventrell, the Acting Deputy Spokesperson on Tuesday, the US congratulated Kenyans for voting in a calm, patient, and orderly manner even though there were scattered acts of violence in some parts of the country.
The IEBC was encouraged to continue tallying the votes in a thorough, transparent, and professional manner.
