Nairobi - A Kenyan woman who alleges she was subjected to slavery whilst working for a Saudi princess in the US was actually living a comfortable life, according to lawyers for the defense.
Lawyers for Princess Meshael Alayban on Monday revelead that the 30-year-old woman whose name has not been revealed by prosecutors, and four other nannies from the Philippines, travelled to the US on $10,000 first class tickets, Daily Nation reports.
In a statement issued in connection with a court hearing in southern California, attorneys Paul Meyer and Jennifer Keller said the women had cell phones, Internet, Facebook, and the family even bought them cable (TV) in their native languages.
