Nairobi - The Standard reports Esther Wacera Githinji is being held at a hospital in India for failing to raise KES 1.8 million hospital bill after undergoing a successful kidney transplant.
According to her father John Githinji, the hospital's management has refused to release his daughter unless they pay the bill.
Esther was taken to Hinduja Hospital in March last year for a kidney transplant after waiting for 10 years to get a suitable donor.
