Kenya marks half a century with UN

Nairobi - Kenya was greeted with a warm welcome on Monday at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, reports the Daily Nation.
Approximately 300 Kenyan's had made the trip to the east coast of the United States for the gala celebration.
Kenya and the UN has not seen eye to eye recently , after the country's attempts to have President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy William Ruto's trials with International Criminal Court removed from the roll. However the UN stood firm on their position for the duo to face charges of crimes against humanity in the roles they played post 2007 elections.
