Nairobi - The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) have apologised to users of the Waiyaki Way after a billboard they were uprooting fell on the multi-lane road thus obstructing traffic.
The traffic jam started early Tuesday morning, around 6.00 am, thus leaving many motorists and commuters who were traveling to the city stranded for hours. Waiyaki Way connects Nairobi town to Westlands, Kangemi, Uthiru, Kinoo, Nakuru, Eldoret and Kisumu.
According to Business Daily, KeNHA said that they envisaged uprooting the illegal billboard Monday night but did not manage to complete the task within the time frame.
