07 August 2013, 17:33

Nairobi - Kenya Airways has announced its plans to resume its domestic flights from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi to Mombasa but on a limited capacity.

In a statement to the media Titus Naikuni, Kenya Airways CEO, said the first flight out of Nairobi to Mombasa is expected to depart at 7.00pm, with another flight out of Mombasa headed to Nairobi departing at 9.15 pm.

Naikuni requested passengers to bear with them as they try to deliver their services.

Naikuni added that all affected customers will however be advised accordingly and should be at the airport two hours before departure time. The domestic departure terminal is in use and will be open to handle these flights.

The carrier said that these flights will only be operated for the domestic customers traveling between Nairobi and Mombasa and those who were on transit either to Mombasa from international flights, and to Nairobi for flights diverted to Mombasa.
