25 December 2013, 17:05

Nairobi - Kenya Airways and the government have partnered to operate two chartered flights to evacuate Kenyans who are still caught up in the fighting in Juba.

According to a statement, the flights will be operated on Thursday, Daily Nation reports.

Kenya Airways had earlier suspended all flights to and from Juba between December 24 and 31 following the fighting in South Sudan.

President Uhuru Kenyatta also ordered the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to evacuate 1,600 Kenyans stranded in South Sudan as the fighting continues.
