KNUT hits stalemate with govt

Nairobi - The chairman of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), Wilson Sossion has declared a stalemate in negotiations with the government, terming the meeting as 'nothing'.
Daily Nation reports that earlier, KNUT officials had demanded that officials of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) exit the negotiations at the Labour cabinet secretary's office.
The negotiations, which started at 10am at the NSSF building, was chaired by Labour Principal Secretary Ali Ishmail and attended by Knut officials alongside the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) and National Treasury and Education officials are yet to come up with a resolution as (Kuppet) officials are expected to present their case in the afternoon.
