KNH medical staff down their tools

Nairobi - The Star reports services at Kenyatta National Hospital were paralysed after the medical staff downed their tools, saying that the hospital's management had failed to pay them their salary increments.
According to them, an Industrial Court early this year awarded them salary increments and allowances but they have not been paid by KNH's management.
Kenya Union of Domestic Hotels Educational Institutions Hospitals Allied Workers (KUDHEIHA) executive board member Obuya Obengo said that the management has not implemented the 46 per cent salaries increment as well as the 23 per cent house allowance awarded to the union by Justice Onesmus Makau.
