KNEC gaffe alters top schools list

Nairobi – The Kenya National Examinations Council has
clarified that Marell Academy in Bungoma County is now the number one
private school in the 2011 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE)
examination with a mean score of 411.78.
The school that did not feature in Thursday’s KCPE top 10 private
school list, registered a class of 32 candidates, according to the

Kang’o from Marell said the news brought a great sigh of relief to the
school and community.
