KNEC: 1.5m candidates to sit for KCPE, KCSE

Nairobi - The Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) has said 1.5 million candidates will sit for this year’s national exams in primary and secondary schools.
449,246 candidates will sit for the Kenya Secondary Education Certificate (KCSE) while 844,475 from Kenya and 906 from Southern Sudan will sit for the Kenya Certificate of Primary (KCPE) examinations Daily Nation reports.
The Council’s Secretary Paul Wasanga, said they were well prepared to ensure that the examinations set to start from October 22 to November 15, run smoothly.
